Stacy Snyder began employment with Midwest Independent BankersBank (MIB) in February 2015 as Vice President/Relationship Manager.

His primary responsibilities are to assist community banks in the state of Iowa. Snyder has over 30 years of financial industry experience. Snyder currently is an active member of the Leaders of Tomorrow with the Community Bankers of Iowa. He previously served on the IBA Bank Management Conference Planning Committee.

He began his career at the Principal Financial Group where he worked for 12 years. For the majority of his time there he was an Investment Officer in Commercial Mortgage Underwriting where he was responsible for providing commercial real estate loans on properties throughout the United States. Snyder then moved to Bank of the West for a year as a Vice President/Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer.

He joined the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines in January 2007 as their Associate Director of Rental Housing where he was responsible for managing the Rental Team and overseeing the scoring, feasibility analysis, and monitoring of all of the rental projects that applied and were awarded funds through the Bank’s Affordable Housing Program. This included a portfolio of nearly 500 projects, with total development costs of more than $1.2 billion. He also helped banks with Community Investment Advances. Afterwards, he joined the Federal Housing Finance Agency as an Examiner.

Snyder received his B.A. in Mathematics from Simpson College and his M.B.A. from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He also graduated from the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado. Snyder has served on the boards for Junior Achievement of Central Iowa, as well as LINK. In addition, he has been a guest lecturer for Commercial Real Estate and Banking classes at The University of Iowa, Iowa State University, and the University of Northern Iowa.
